Digitization in healthcare has enormous potential to improve suboptimal processes. Artificial intelligence can analyze immense multidimensional amounts of data and is already better than humans in some radiological tasks, for example. However, there are also some caveats such as special biases in the data sets that the artificial intelligence uses to learn. It is therefore necessary that we do our part to ensure that digitization in the healthcare sector takes place under ethical framework conditions that humans define.
